Terms of Service

Alignlie helps candidates align resumes with job descriptions using parsing, insights, a Fix Board, an AI Tailor assistant, JD alignment recheck, Preview editing, templates, compare views, and export (PDF/DOCX). Cover-letter generation may be available on paid plans.

Features and limits depend on your plan and remaining analysis and AI Tailor credits. AI outputs are guidance only; you remain responsible for final resumes and applications.

You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials confidential.

You must verify your email before full access. You are responsible for activity under your account.

Plans may include Free, Starter, and Pro (names and entitlements as shown in Plans and Usage / pricing). Paid plans are one-time purchases for a duration of 1, 3, or 6 months, chosen at checkout. They do not renew automatically.

You may have only one active paid plan at a time. While a paid period is live: repurchase of the same plan is blocked, and downgrades are blocked until the period ends.

Upgrading from Starter to Pro while a period is active requires paying the full Pro price for a fresh term. Unused credits from the prior pack remain available through the new period end.

When a paid period ends, unused paid credits expire. Purchase again for a new pack. Exact prices, taxes (for example GST), and coupons are shown at checkout.

Paid and free entitlements may include two separate credit wallets: analysis credits (consumed when starting a JD analysis) and AI Tailor credits (consumed per Tailor assistant message). Exhausting one wallet does not freeze the other.

Unused paid credits expire at the end of the purchased period and do not carry forward into a later purchase after expiry.

Free signup credits are lifetime credits and are not removed when a paid period ends.

You can view remaining balances on the Plans and Usage page in the app.

Paid plans are one-time payments via Razorpay in INR unless otherwise stated. Taxes may apply as shown at checkout. There is no automatic renewal.

Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable once a billing period or credit pack is fulfilled. Failed or cancelled payments do not grant credits.

You may not use the service for unlawful purposes, to infringe others’ rights, to upload malware, or to attempt unauthorized access.

You may not scrape, reverse engineer, or resell the service without written permission.

Automated abuse (credential stuffing, rate-limit evasion) and misuse of AI Tailor or support chat (spam, attempts to extract system prompts or secrets) may result in suspension.

You retain ownership of content you upload. You grant us a limited license to process that content solely to operate the service.

Platform software, branding, and templates remain our property or our licensors’. AI outputs are provided “as is” for your personal job-search use.

AI suggestions, Tailor replies, and cover letters are not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or suitable for any employer. You are solely responsible for resumes and applications you submit.

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement to the fullest extent permitted by law.

You may delete your account from Settings by confirming your password. Deletion revokes sessions, soft-deletes associated resumes, and anonymizes your email so the account cannot be used to log in again.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or loss of profits, data, or opportunities arising from use of the service.

Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in India shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protections in your jurisdiction.
