Privacy Policy

Account data: name, email, phone (optional), job title (optional), and password (stored as a secure hash).

Resume and job-description content you upload or paste for analysis, including files stored with our cloud file provider.

Draft resume content, Fix Board actions, AI Tailor chat messages and proposals, cover-letter content you generate, and template/export preferences related to your applications.

In-app support chat messages when you use product help.

Email preference: whether you opted in to optional product-update emails (stored with a consent audit record when you change it).

Usage data: session identifiers, IP address, device/browser metadata for security, reliability, and fraud prevention.

Billing data: plan and duration selected, dual credit balances (analysis and AI Tailor), billing address where provided, payment status, and transaction references processed by Razorpay (we do not store full card or UPI credentials).

To provide resume/JD parsing, AI analysis, Fix Board suggestions, AI Tailor assistance, cover-letter generation (on eligible plans), templates, compare views, and exports you request.

To manage purchases, analysis and AI Tailor credit wallets, invoices, and payment reconciliation.

To send transactional email (activation, password reset, purchase confirmations, payment notices). These are required to operate your account and are not marketing.

To send optional product updates and tips only if you explicitly opt in (for example at signup or in Settings). We do not pre-tick marketing consent.

To improve reliability, security, and abuse prevention (rate limits, audit logs).

We do not sell your personal data.

Product-update emails are optional. You can opt in or out anytime in Settings → Email preferences.

Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also use the one-click unsubscribe control offered by some email providers.

Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional emails needed for account security, billing, or service delivery.

We keep an append-only record of consent changes (opt-in / opt-out) for compliance and audit.

Resume text, job-description text, Tailor chat context, and related draft content may be sent to third-party AI providers (for example OpenAI) solely to generate the analysis, suggestions, Tailor replies, or cover letters you request.

Your resume and job-description content is not used by us to train foundation models. Providers process requests under their applicable terms and our configuration for the service.

Do not upload unlawful content or data you are not authorized to share. You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of materials you submit.

We use infrastructure and service providers (hosting, database, Redis queues, email, Cloudinary, Razorpay, AI APIs, and Google Analytics) under contractual safeguards appropriate to their role.

We retain account, content, and billing records as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. You may request account deletion from Settings (see Terms).

We use httpOnly authentication cookies and related session storage to keep you signed in and protect account access.

Essential cookies are required for the service to function.

We also use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site (for example which pages are viewed). Google may set analytics cookies. This helps us improve Alignlie; it is not used to show third-party ads as part of the core product.

You may access and update profile information in the app. You may delete your account from Settings, which deactivates access and anonymizes core identifiers.

You may withdraw marketing consent at any time via Settings or an unsubscribe link.

Depending on your jurisdiction you may have additional rights (access, correction, erasure). Contact support@alignlie.com or use the Contact page, and include the email on your account.

We use industry-standard practices including encrypted transport (HTTPS), httpOnly authentication cookies, and hashed passwords.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please use a strong unique password and protect your devices.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
